You were dragging yourself to the kitchen for your breakfast and pills that your mom sat on the table for you before school. Today you were starting at a new school. You were fine with your old school but your mom couldn't take it.
The kids would throw holy water at you and call you a demon because you had multiple personalities in your head. Some nice some not so nice so kids really didn't like you. Well more like people in general. People would tell your mom that she was raising a devil child. You didn't mind. You actually liked talking to the people in your head. To you they were very real. Although sometimes they would be very mean to you...and attempt to kill you several times, they were your friends, but your mom made you move to a different city with her and your dad.
"Make sure you take your pills, (name)", you mom reminded you with a nervous smile as she was scrubbing down the counter tops.
"Ok", you agreed as you poured a glass of juice to take them with.
"A-are you going to be good at school today?"
"Make some friends ok?"
You nod as you toss one of the pills in your mouth followed by two others, washed down with juice. Your mom drys her hands off before brushing your hair back with them.
"We're going to live normally here, ok? Y-you'll be just fine"
She lets out a deep breath and kisses your forehead before opening your mouth to make sure you swallowed your pills. "Ok. Your bus should be coming around soon. Make sure...make sure you take your pills for lunch", she emphasized as she helped you put on your backpack. "Got it?"
~Time skip to school entrance~
You pushed open the doors to your new school and scanned the halls with dull eyes before finding your locker. Your feet dragging as you walked to the locker assigned to you. You started opening it when you heard 'Aye yo dude! Watch out!' You turn in the direction of the voice and a football is coming straight for your face. It hits you right in the middle of your forehead and you fall on your back.
"Woah! Are you cool, dude?!", the same voice asked you.
You sat up, criss-cross applesauce(yes I just said that) on the ground and looked up at the boy to which the voice you heard belonged to. You nod slowly and continued to look up at him.
"I'm sorry! Let me help you up", he reached his hand out towards you for you to take it. You looked at it then back at him before you pushed yourself off the ground and went back to opening your locker. "Ok then...My name's Alfred. What's yours?"
You continued going through your locker, paying him no mind. You got the book that you needed and closed your locker back up.
"Hello", he waved his hand in front of your face. "Did the ball hit you that hard? You ok? Can you say something?"
"Hi", you acknowledged his presents then started walking.
"Hey, you said something!", he commented, excitedly. "What's your name?"
"Because I wanna know", he smiled at you and walked next to you.
"Can you only say one word responses?", he sarcastically bugged you.
"Really. What's your name"
"Bye", you walked into your classroom.
"Not yet! I'm in this class too!", he revealed and followed you into class.
"Sit next to me!" You watched him scurry to his seat. You stood there quietly for a minute or so before picking the seat farthest from him. "That's mean!"
The teacher soon walked in along with the rest of the students. "Ok. So we have a new student today. Ms. (name)? Could you come to the front of the class?"
You shook your head and stayed seated. The teacher chuckled before walking over to you and helping you up. "Come on, now. Introduce yourself"
You stood in front of his desk and glanced at each of the students who were summing you up by the way you looked. "Hi..."
"Alright well I'm going to need you to sit next to Alfred. The seat you were in is taken", the teacher pointed over to Alfred who was waving at you.
You walked over and sat next to him.
"Look at that. You have to sit by me anyway"
You open your book and ignore him again. He pouted seeing that you weren't talking to him then scooted his seat closer to yours.
~Alright lunch time!~
You got out the lunch your mom made for you and sat by yourself. The last few classes not too many people talked to you. If they did, they either gave up because you wouldn't say too much or would leave after their eyes saw your dim, dull (e/c) ones. Other than that loud boy in glasses, no one really said much to you. You didn't talk unless you were answering a question in class. You were very smart but got distracted easily but with one of the different meds you took, it helped keep you focused.
You sat there, feeling your medication wearing off. You knew your mom put your bottles in your back pack, but you didn't want to take them.
"Hey (name)!", that boy called to you and sat next to you. "What are ya eating for lunch?!"
You scratched you neck and looked at his jacket. "Alfred..."
"Hey, you said my name!"
"Have you watched, Nightmare on Elm Street'?"
"Of course! Like the best movie ever! I couldn't even watch it by myself, it was so scary!"
"It was? I liked it a lot. A man comes to you in your never ending dreams to kill you. That's the best way to kill someone. Endless ways to do it. You can use their most deadly fear. Amazing, huh?"
"What's amazing is you saying more than two words"
You giggled, "It's wearing off!"
"Huh? What's wearing off"
"If I don't want to I don't think I have to! It's not our fault that kids are stupid as hell!", you claimed, loudly talking to yourself. "Oh wha! (name) is hungry..."
Alfred stared at you, confused, "Uh...You want a bite of my burger? You must act wear when you're hungry"
"Oh. No. I'm not weird. Me (name)", you moved one of your hands up and down while the other opened your lunch. You picked up the sandwich your mom made for you and took a bite.
"Well that is true...So what other kinds of movies do you like?"
"Anything with blood, screaming, and crying people", you replied in a raspy voice. "But sad, heartfelt movies are great too!", you continued in a more cheerful voice. "Ya know, where the main character dies in a sad, dramatic way" You finished your sandwich and drank one of the two juices in your bag of food. "This taste...weird...hm"
"Uh...Well those are kind of weird genre's..."
"What about you, blondie?"
"Oh! I like action movies! Well I like all movies. Especially super hero movies! Yeah I love those the most!"
You unwrap a cupcake you had and lick some of the icing off as you listen to Alfred talk about super hero's when it hit you. Your parents put your meds in your food. You could feel it working. "Damn it"
"What? What is it?"
"Nothing", you sigh and finish up your cupcake.
"You sound bored again, (name)"
"If you get bored after eating, you should like...stop eating for awhile"
"Not it...I just don't want to tell you", you protested in a calm voice.
"Why not? Tell me"
"Nu-uh. Can't. I have to be normal", you stated before the bell rung to end lunch. "bye"
~After school at your house~
You open the door and walk inside. The first thing you get is a hug from your mom.
"How was school?"
"D-did you take your medicine?"
"Didn't have to", you gave your mom your empty lunch bag.
"You noticed?...W-well did you make any new friends?"
"A boy...named Alfred...We're friends now"
"Oh that's great!", your mother brings you into a tighter embrace.
"Is dad home?", you ask while being squished by your moms chest.
"Mhm! He's in his room"
"I wanna talk to dad"
"Go ahead. You two really do have a close bond!", your mom lets you go and smiles widely.
You walk off towards the room your father was in and knocked on the door before coming in. "Dad?
"How was school? Did any kids pick on you? Did you take your medicine?"
"Not yet, they haven't. I didn't have to. You and mom put it in my lunch"
"Your mother made me do it, poppet. I promise. She really wants you to be 'normal' for some reason. I call it being a lifeless zombie. I love you just the way you are, dear", you dad smiled at you and ruffled your hair.
"I know dad. Mom didn't do a very good job hiding it in the drink but after finishing your cupcake, I figured it out. It's pink and blue icing was very pretty. It still tasted delicious too"
